Our once happy, relatively calm home has turned into a mad
house. Toddler crying abounds, and there really is no stopping it. Molars,
they're a beast!
As with any child, Daphne is trying her best not to let her
teeth bring her down. She still is active as ever. In fact, we dare to say more active since cutting molars has
become her body's primary job. Perhaps she is trying to take her mind off the
searing pain by getting into EVERYTHING.
Between all the toddler crying/mini tantrums and constant
movement, you'd think this girl would get tired after a while. We
think she may be a quarter Energizer Bunny because she doesn't stop until she's
sleeping. Toddler teething is doing a number on our energy levels. By the time
she goes to bed at night, we’re ready to hit the sheets as well or at least sit
on our butts and not move unless absolutely necessary.
Maybe we are being too hard on poor teething Daphne. Not every
day has been hair-pullingly frustrating. And even in the midst of the bad
days, she is still the sweet, lovely girl everyone knows her to be. We find
that distractions are our go-to solution to her pain. Nothing beats a fast game
Daddy ‘fly’ her like superman around the room or a trip outside to visit her
friend, dirt.
As they say…..this too shall pass. And, thankfully, we are on the tail
end of this teething train.
Here is a link to a rather funny teething guide. Enjoy the chuckle.
